Canada Undergraduate Enrollment

As undergraduate enrollment in engineering programs increases, so too does female undergraduate enrollment in engineering. In 2016, female undergraduate enrollment was 20.7%, surpassing the 20% mark and the previously established record of highest proportion of females set in 2001 (20.6%). Biosystems and environmental engineering have the highest proportion of female students, while civil and chemical engineering have the highest number of females. Mechanical engineering has the lowest proportion of female students, while mining and mineral engineering have the lowest number of female students
