The proportion of undergraduate engineering degrees awarded to females has been slowly increasing since 2010 but remains below 20% as of 2016. In 2016, women were highly represented among the disciplines of biosystems and environmental engineering, where they compose 41.4% and 39.7%, respectively, of the undergraduate degree holders. However, women were much less represented among undergraduate degree holders in software (10.1%) and computer engineering (8.6%).
