Over the span of 10 years, from 2006 to 2016, the proportion of female faculty members is still below 20%. In 2016, the highest percentages of female faculty were observed in lower ranks of academia (e.g. instructors, lecturers, and assistant professors). Women represent slightly over 10% of full professors in engineering.
