Australia Degree Attainment

DEGREE ATTAINMENT: Engineers Australia studied the trends of women's shares of bachelor's degree completions (3 year, 4 year, and double degrees) from 2001 to 2015. In 2015, women received just over 16% of 3 year bachelor's degrees in engineering and 12% of 4 year bachelor's degrees in engineering. The fields of maritime engineering and technology (4.5%), electrical and electronic engineering and technology (7.8%), and mechanical and industrial engineering and technology (9%) have among the lowest representation of women among their bachelor's degree holders.
